Product selection
We cover a product when it meets all of the following:
- The device falls within a category we cover (microcurrent, LED therapy, RF skin tightening, at-home laser/IPL).
- The product is currently available at a verifiable price from the brand or a major retailer.
- The device has sufficient published information to evaluate honestly.
- The product is not discontinued.
Scoring methodology
Our Celliara Score reflects four weighted inputs:
Clinical evidence quality
The strength and independence of published research supporting the device claims.
Regulatory status
FDA clearance or equivalent, where applicable and verifiable.
Specification accuracy
Whether manufacturer claims are verifiable against documented specs.
Editorial consensus
Consistent findings across credible independent reviewers.
Commission rates play no role in scoring. A product receives the same scoring treatment regardless of whether Celliara earns a commission on it.
What we do not do
- We do not independently test devices in a controlled lab setting. All assessments reference published data and documented specifications.
- We do not accept payment from brands for review placement, rankings, or editorial coverage.
- We do not guarantee results or make therapeutic claims.
- We do not use language that implies personal testing when none has occurred.
Content updates
Device reviews and rankings are updated when new clinical research is published, a device is updated or discontinued, pricing changes significantly, or we identify an error in an existing article. Each page shows a last-verified date.
Corrections
If you identify a factual error in our content, contact us with a specific citation. We review all correction requests and update content when errors are confirmed.
