Celliara comparison
NuFACE Trinity+ vs NuFACE Mini+
Two NuFACE microcurrent devices covered by one user manual, with the same five-minute routine and the same activator, and both let you choose the intensity. They differ in whether you get a temporary Boost, what you can add later and how big they are.
Our answer
It depends on whether you will use Boost and attachments.
Both follow NuFACE's five-minute, five-times-a-week start, let you choose the intensity on the device and work without the app. The Trinity+ adds a temporary Boost and an attachment system; the Mini+ offers three intensity levels in a smaller device. Celliara's evidence record does not show either producing better results.
Choose the NuFACE Trinity+ if you want a temporary Boost for target areas or plan to add NuFACE attachments later. Choose the NuFACE Mini+ for NuFACE's core routine in a compact device with three intensity levels.

Decide on these
The three differences that decide it
Each one can change which device you should buy. Read the product facts side by side, then what they mean for you.
Intensity and Boost
Trinity+You raise or lower the output level on the device, and a separate Boost button raises it temporarily for a target area. NuFACE does not publish how many levels there are.
Mini+You choose from three intensity levels on the device, 70 to 335 µA in its FDA filing; the optional app adds frequency modes.
What this means for you
Both let you choose the intensity. What only the Trinity+ adds is a temporary Boost for a target area. Celliara's evidence record does not show Boost, or either device's number of levels, producing a bigger result.
Who this favours The Trinity+, if you want a temporary Boost.
What you can add later
Trinity+An attachment system: the Facial Trainer is included; Lip & Eye and LED attachments are sold separately and are final sale from NuFACE.
Mini+No add-ons, and NuFACE offers none to add later.
What this means for you
Only the Trinity+ can grow with add-ons, and they cost extra. If you will only ever use the standard spheres, that room goes unused.
Who this favours The Trinity+, if you plan to add attachments.
Size and charging
Trinity+A handheld of about 8.8 oz that charges on a wireless cradle, which cuts output while it sits there; the sealed battery has no published lifespan.
Mini+Compact and palm-sized; about two weeks of use per charge at five minutes a day, and about four hours to charge from the mains adapter.
What this means for you
The Mini+ is the smaller one to carry; the Trinity+ lives on its cradle between sessions.
Who this favours A size and charging preference, not a better device.
Looks decisive, but shouldn’t be
- The number of intensity levels
- The Mini+ has three intensity levels; NuFACE does not publish how many the Trinity+ has. Neither count shows finer control or a bigger result, so the number of levels does not decide between them.
- The microcurrent figures
- NuFACE's filing gives 70 to 335 µA for the Mini+. For the Trinity+, NuFACE publishes no microamp figure, and its FDA filing states only a maximum current density. The figures are not a like-for-like measure, and a higher output is not a bigger visible result.
- The FDA clearances
- Both are cleared for over-the-counter cosmetic facial and neck stimulation: the Trinity+ under FDA 510(k) K201782 and the Mini+ under K201680. Neither filing recorded clinical testing, and clearance is not proof of a result.
- The studies behind them
- NuFACE's reported outcome data come from other NuFACE devices: the earlier Trinity for the Trinity+, and a larger NuFACE device for the Mini+. Celliara's evidence record holds no study of either device itself or comparing the two.
- The score gap
- Trinity+ scores 8.1 and Mini+ 8.0. The Trinity+ scores slightly higher overall. The gap comes from product capability; on results, ownership, routine fit, value and purchase confidence they earn the same grades. It does not decide this choice.
Where they’re even
- The same routine
- NuFACE asks for the same schedule on both: five minutes, five times a week for 60 days, then two or three times a week.
- The same activator
- Both start each session with a mask-like layer of NuFACE activator, and NuFACE's shared user manual says consequences of a non-NuFACE conductive alternative are not its responsibility.
- The app is optional on both
- Both run from the device itself; NuFACE's app adds guided routines, but neither needs it.
- The same restrictions
- One NuFACE manual covers both, with the same contraindications and the same face-and-neck limits.
- The same warranty terms
- NuFACE publishes the same two-year warranty for both, only for purchases from authorized sellers. Celliara has not verified that either Amazon seller qualifies, so it cannot separate them.
- The same purchase route
- Both links go to the brand's own storefront on Amazon and check out through Amazon, so returns follow the Amazon listing and the terms shown at checkout. Neither brand's own website return offer is stated for Amazon orders.
Match your priorities
Which fits what matters to you?
Find the priorities that sound like you. Where both devices do it, or neither does, we say so.
| If this matters most | Fits better | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A temporary Boost for a target area | Only the Trinity+ has one. | |
| Adding attachments later | Only the Trinity+ has an attachment system. | |
| A compact device to carry | Compact and palm-sized; the Trinity+ is a handheld of about 8.8 oz on a charging cradle. | |
| Choosing the intensity on the device | Either | Both: the Mini+ has three levels, and the Trinity+'s output is raised or lowered on the device. |
| NuFACE's five-minute routine | Either | Both follow it. |
| Using the app only if you want it | Either | Both work without it. |
| A warranty confirmed for these Amazon orders | Not verified | NuFACE's two-year warranty covers purchases from authorized sellers for both, and Celliara has not verified that either Amazon seller qualifies. |
| Using a conductive gel you already own | Neither | NuFACE's manual disclaims consequences of a non-NuFACE conductive alternative for both. |
| Treating beyond the face and neck | Neither | NuFACE limits both to the face and neck. |
Understand the tradeoff
Why those differences matter
Intensity on both, Boost on one
Both let you choose the intensity on the device. The Trinity+ runs from two buttons: one powers it, starts and stops a treatment and raises or lowers the output level, and a separate Boost button raises output temporarily for a target area; NuFACE does not publish how many levels there are. The Mini+ offers three intensity levels on the device, from 70 to 335 µA in its FDA filing, and its optional app adds frequency modes.
What this means for you
Buy the Trinity+ for Boost if you will use it on target areas, not for a bigger number. If choosing between three levels is all you want, the Mini+ covers it.
What you can add later
The Trinity+ comes with the Facial Trainer attachment, and NuFACE sells Lip & Eye and LED attachments separately, as final sale. The Mini+ has no attachment system, and neither attachments nor a Boost can be added later.
What this means for you
Count the attachments you actually want. If the answer is none, the Trinity+'s attachment system adds nothing to your routine.
Living with each
The Trinity+ is a handheld of about 8.8 oz that charges on a wireless cradle and stops output while it sits there; NuFACE publishes no battery lifespan. The Mini+ is compact and palm-sized, and lasts about two weeks per charge at five minutes a day, with about four hours to recharge from the mains adapter.
What this means for you
These are preferences. If you travel with it, the Mini+ is the easier one to pack.
